Doing more activities that could be fun

  • Many kids with grief do less things they used to enjoy. 

  • Sometimes it’s because of the way you feel. It might feel hard to do something fun when you are feeling sad. It can be hard to be around others when we feel sad, angry or guilty.

  • We can also think ‘what’s the point?’. For example, because Riley thought it was not fair to have fun after Charlie died, Riley stopped hanging out with friends. This made Riley feel even worse.

  • It's normal to have thoughts like ‘it’s not important’ to do fun activities BUT trying is important to help you feel better.

  • Try one activity and see how you feel.
