Part 2

Drawing Your PICTURE

Now have a go of drawing a picture.

Download the worksheet here or grab a piece of paper and a pen.

  • Your picture does not have to be perfect, but a rough idea of some pieces and how they fit together.

  • As you go through the website, look back at your picture to keep you on track.

  • If you make a change in one area, other areas will change too.

Here are some questions to help:

Hint – look back at your answers to Part 1 to help you get started.

Q1. Thoughts – What goes through your head when you think about the loss? For example, do you feel like you shouldn’t feel the way you do? Put thoughts in the middle of the picture.

Q2. Activities (things you do) – What have you stopped doing or do less of?  Think about things you used to enjoy. Any changes in eating or sleeping? Are there things you are doing a lot of (e.g., video games) making you feel worse (e.g., spending hours on screens, not going outside)?

Q3. Feelings – What feelings do you have? (e.g., sad, angry, worried, stressed, gloomy, scared).

Q4. Mind: Pushing away – Do you try to push thoughts, pictures in your head and memories away? Which ones?

Q5. Mind: Dwelling – Do you dwell on thoughts, pictures in your head and memories? Which ones?

Does the picture makes sense to you?
