🥱 Tired –

  • Many kids say they feel very tired.

😡 Anger

  • Some kids can feel very angry.

  • They may feel angry at themselves or other people.

😢 Sadness

  • Crying and sadness is normal.

  • But not all children cry.

😖 Stress

  • Some kids feel worried and stressed.

  • They might notice their heart beats faster.

😔 Apart from others

  • Many kids feel alone after a loss.

  • Often it can be hard to talk to people about it.

  • You can worry people will not understand.

    😳 Shame –

  • Sometimes kids feel bad or that there is something wrong with them.

  • They can worry about feeling different to their friends.

  • Sometimes they think they shouldn’t feel the way they do. 

🫣 Guilt

  • Kids can feel bad for not telling the person they loved them.

  • It is common to feel guilty when having fun, or feeling happy.

😮‍💨 Relief

  • It is normal to feel relief.

  • For example, Bailey felt relief after Nanna died that she was not in pain anymore.

🤕 Feeling unwell and not wanting to go to school –

  • Sometimes kids can feel sick, like having an upset stomach.

  • For some kids they feel sick and do not want to go to school.

    🫥 Numb –
